OUR INGREDIENTS
TOMATO
Tomatoes are the main dietary source of the antioxidant lycopene, which is known to have several health benefits, including reducing the risk of serious diseases such as heart disease and cancer. They are also an excellent source of vitamin C, potassium, folic acid and vitamin K.
PEPPER
All peppers are rich in vitamins A, C and K. The antioxidant vitamins A and C help prevent cell damage, cancer and age-related diseases, and improve immune function.
CUCUMBER
The majority of a cucumber (95%) is made up of water, which means that it is a refreshing food, keeping you hydrated whilst being low in calories. It also has a large number of vitamins and minerals, which can improve your quality of life, such as iron, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, sulphur and iodine.
GARLIC
Garlic contains a compound called allicin, which has potent medicinal properties, contains antioxidants that can help prevent Alzheimer’s and dementia, whilst also improving cholesterol levels, blood pressure and physical performance, which can lower the risk of heart disease. In addition, it combats infectious diseases. For thousands of years, people have believed that garlic had medicinal properties; today, these properties have been confirmed by science. In short, garlic can make your life longer.
SHERRY VINEGAR
There is no doubt that it is the most refreshing vinegar available, adding a unique aroma and characteristic flavour to gazpacho and salmorejo.
According to a study published in ‘Medscape General Medicine’ in 2006, sherry vinegar reduces hardening of the arteries and stabilises blood pressure levels.
EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
It improves the vascular system and aids in the development of central nerves and in the development of a child’s newly forming brain. Olive oil contains vitamin E, chlorophyll, and phenols, which are excellent antioxidants that delay the body’s aging and reduce the oxidation of fatty tissue. It contains monounsaturated fatty acids, such as oleic acid, which lowers bad cholesterol (LDL) without affecting the cholesterol known as good cholesterol (HDL), thereby improving blood circulation and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease.
SEA SALT
Salt is necessary for the human body. One of its main functions is to maintain fluid balance: The body must have a constant level of salt. It should also be noted that it allows the transmission of nerve impulses, regulates the rhythm of the heart muscle, extracts excess acidity from the cells, especially from those in the brain and prevents the occurrence of muscle cramps, etc.
BREAD
Bread is a cholesterol-free food and is, therefore, beneficial to our circulatory system and our heart. It is a food that has great antioxidant power and contains important nutrients such as vitamin E, carotenes, and polyphenols.
